Sibling Revelry’s 2 Year Anniversary

Written by Dean Zarbaugh

I just got back from celebrating Sibling Revelry’s 2 year anniversary. I had a great time, talked with a number of people, and got to try some great beer.

For anyone unfamiliar, Sibling Revelry is located at 29305 Clemens Road in Westlake, Ohio. Since their formation two years ago, they’ve quickly grown one of the most die-hard fanbases in Northeast Ohio. You can even find their beer at Progressive Field when you check out an Indians game this season.

I heard one of their employees mention to someone else that they are in the midst of expanding their production facility as well. According to, Sibling will be adding 10,000 square feet to their already existing 10,000 square feet, with the space being used mostly to expand their barrel aging program and a larger taproom. Northeast Ohio is saturated with great breweries, so it’s nice to see so many expanding their operations in such a crowded marketplace.

I arrived at the brewery about 15 minutes before they opened at noon and was one of the first people through the doors. I started things off easy with a glass of their Pilsner. It was clean, crisp and refreshing with a dry finish. I followed that up with a Blood Brood which is a German hefeweizen brewed with sweet orange peel and blood orange puree. The final result is a refreshing beer with a nice balance of orange, coriander and banana. I finished things out with a sampler. Included were their 2 year anniversary special releases; Syble, Barrel Aged Cosmic Cocoa, and a Barrel Aged Double Red Ale. I also got Millennial Centennial, a single hop IPA with (you guessed it) centennial hops. Very refreshing with a bright, citrus hop body and their Lavender Wit, which I honestly wasn’t expecting to like due solely to my aversion to lavender as anything other than a scent, but it ended up surprising me with it’s refreshing floral flavor.

There was also live music, food trucks that people were raving about, and donuts from none other than Cleveland’s own BrewNuts. The staff was friendly and accommodating.  Overall it was a lot of fun and everything ran like clockwork. The line for the special edition bombers, while long, moved fast and everyone was very friendly. I even saw some very happy puppies throughout the day who soaked up all the attention they were getting. It’s a fun vibe at Sibling Revelry, and I recommend you check out the taproom and facility.

Congratulations to everyone at Sibling Revelry on two successful years, and to many more!
