Columbus Brewing Company’s Insane Wanderer has made its triumphant return. The first volume of this new series from the Columbus brewery was fantastic, and believe it or not, Volume 2 is even better! Brewed with Midwest grown cashmere hops, and complimented with mosaic and citra hops, Insane Wanderer Volume 2 is a sweet, hoppy IPA that has notes of mango, passionfruit and bubblegum throughout. The second edition in the series features a solid 7.4% ABV, but goes down incredibly smooth. This is a must try for any IPA fan. BrewDog has come out with a session IPA that is brewed with tangerine. Being the film buff that I am, I of course had to try a beer named after one of my favorite movies; A Clockwork Orange (in case you couldn’t guess). I love citrus in my IPAs. Blood orange and tangerine are two of my favorites. BrewDog’s Clockwork Tangerine is light, crisp, hoppy, and packed with a tangerine punch that leaves you thirsting for another sip. Plus, at only 4.5% ABV and 35 IBU, Clockwork Tangerine is a beer you can have a couple of and maintain your wits. A must try for citrusy IPA lovers!

Saucy Brew Works – Who Is This?

The latest release in the Saucy Brew Works hazy IPA series, Who Is This? cuts down the bitterness in favor of a blend of tropical juicy citrus hop flavor, that is followed by a slightly sweet creaminess that leaves you longing for another sip. This haze bomb of an IPA lives up to its “murky” billing. In a crowded field of hazy IPA’s, Who Is This? truly stands out. A must try for every fan of New England style IPA’s. Smooth, juicy, and quite refreshing.

HIGHLIGHT: Sibling Revelry Barrel Aged 2XRED

Sibling Revelry – Barrel Aged 2XRED

This was a special bottle release earlier this year for Sibling Revelry’s Two Year Anniversary. I was fortunate enough to attend¬†and pick up a couple bottles. This was bottle number 28. Bourbon barrel aged beers can scare some people off, but this beer was well balanced in its flavor. Some barrel aged beers tend to overdo it with the bourbon, but Sibling’s barrel aged 2XRED keeps things in check with a nice hop bite, and a rich malt flavor. I’ll be sitting on my other bottle for a while to see how it ages.
